The Thinker
In love, you are honest and serious about commitment. For you, sex is something you think about and desire a lot of the time.
Overall, you are pure in your affection and feelings. However, you tend to be suspicious and distrusting at times.

| | ecstatic | ] | I finally go a camera of my very own! This has been in the making since last May. So in total I have a Canon 30D, a 24mm lens, the 18-55 that came with the camera and a 430 Canon Flash! Oh yeah, and a great bag that was on super special for $40! (usually about $100-$140) Also, I think due to my squirrliness/giddiness the salesman gave me $10 off my 24mm! So the total damage was $1,955.55, that's $45 less then my limit. Afterward Nick and I made a quick trip to Urban Outfitters where I exchanged some Christmas presents for my brothers, then we had a delightful lunch at Panera and finally we played with a conure at Petco and headed back to my apartment where I've been playing with my camera's settings for the last few hours. Such a great day!
p.s. Pictures of gear to follow sometime soon. |

| | grateful | ] | Today after my art history class I was walking back to Collins when about half way through Woodlawn field I realized how fleeting my time here really is. I'm not sure where I'll be at this time next year, but I'm sure it's not going to be Bloomington. I became sad and nostalgic of the days when I rode the campus bus back to Forest past Collins counting the days until I would live there. I must say I love Bloomington and Collins, I have considered these places home for the last 5 years. I will treasure the people I have met in the last 5 years for the rest of my life. While thinking these things, among many other thoughts, and admiring the evening light's play with the fall leaves I crossed into the Collins courtyard and that's when I saw a figure run towards me with arms full of leaves with my name all over them. What followed was a swirling mass of leaves and human limbs. I know incriminating pictures were taken, and since my face was covered for most of them maybe a decent photo of me exists now, one where I don't look stoned.
Anyway, rolling around on the ground covered with leaves was just what I needed while addressing such things. So thanks.

| | bored | ] | So the results of the mozzarella are quite disturbing. Basically I dreamed that I was paddling down a river of decomposing bodies with entrails dangling from the tree canopy. Oh yeah, creepy as all hell. The results of this test could have to do with the fact that I watched the movie Xtro before going to bed. It's a bizarre English horror film which prides itself on utilizing the gross out factor to the nth degree. Check it out on imdb. Anyway, undaunted the tests continue! Tonight, cheddar. Which, according to the test, has been known to elicit dreams about celebrities. |

| | so very tired | ] | So from time to time I like to google myself and see what comes up. According to Google, I'm busy reviewing CD's in my free time.
"4 out of 5 stars A great CD to get you going in the morning. Reviewer: Ann Rebeck This CD is a rare gem. Its rhythms keep you listening and eventually you too will be tapping on anything around. Need something to get you going in the morning? This CD will do it. Perhaps you are just stressed out like most of us and need something to pop in and just chill out to. This CD is great for both. I would highly recommend this CD to anyone with a love for rhythm and beat!"
Apparently I enjoyed the Ethos Percussion Groups latest CD. Keep up the good work boys!
And on a separate note, tonight's cheese is mozzarella. |

| | the Wallice and Gromit theme | ] | So receintly Nick told me about a study regarding the effects of cheese on dreams. Apparently if you eat certain kinds of cheeses before sleeping you will have dreams of varying weirdness. I tried it out with a couple nights of parmesan, the kind that comes in a block not the powdery shit, and the with blue cheese. The study concluded that blue cheese and stilton elicited the craziest dreams. So far it's not looking so good for the blue cheese, but I will continue to use myself as a guinea pig and post my findings here. Waiting in my refrigerator are mozzarella, blue cheese, parmesan and sharp cheddar. |

| | The Decemberists | ] | So this experiment of Anne on her own seems to be working out. My main concern was fixing food for myself, because let's face it sometimes I just forget to eat so if there's no one there to say, "hey Anne, you hungry? Wanna' grab something to eat?" I would probably starve. I have proven to be more resourceful then even I had imagined! I was so proud of my dinner efforts earlier this week I felt it necessary to document them:

(lindsey, this is how we'll eat at least part of the time next year!!!)

And finally!

| Adventures in Anneland |

| [ | Current Mood |
| | sleepy | ] | Since moving into my apartment in West Lafayette Anneland has been an interesting place to live, full of strange men coming into my apartment to work on the wiring while I'm in the shower, then losing my electricity for 24 hours which ruined all the delicious meat I bought the night before. I also went longer then 24 hours with out the internet with cost me precious leveling time. I lull myself to sleep at night with movies on my computer, because I don't have a TV, and thoughts of Nick, because he's cute. After seeing a great opera, Nixon in China, with some even better people, Lindsey, Eric Zobel, Eric Anderson and his boyfriend Alexander I've really started thinking about Chicago as a possible home, despite the hellishly cold winters.
I haven't found a real job yet, and today was the first day of my internship. So today I took a step closer to professional life, or did I? We shall see. After shooting my first softball game, and not doing too bad I think, and learning the ropes of the Journal and Courier, I've decided to end my day by eating orange Jell-O out of a wine glass. So my adventures in Anneland involve growing up and having my own place, going back to the stone age with no electricity and shooting photos until my heart's content.
stay tuned. . . hopefully I'll have more interesting stuff to post eventually |

| | Please Stay | ] | So tonight was my "fake" Valentine's Day date with Nick. To broaden my sushi horizons we went to Sushi Bar and I had a cornucopia of sushi rice and assorted fish to try. The hierarchy of Anne's preferences are as follows:
1) Salmon (melts like buddah) 2) Red Snapper (it's snaptastic!) 3) Shrimp (yeah, not adventurous, but I loves me some shrimp) 4) Octopus (interesting texture and fun to play with) 5) Seared Tuna (a cut above regular tuna) 6) Imitation Crab Meat (it tries so hard God bless it) 7) Regular Tuna (pretty run of the mill really) 8) Yellow Tail (it's just filler and we all know it!) 9) Sweetened Eggy stuff (insert yucky face here)
Then we each had an eel roll which I would place somewhere around the Salmon and Red Snapper. After the bill was paid we proceeded to the car where I had smuggled in chocolate covered fortune cookies right under Nick's nose. He was none the wiser!
So now tomorrow while everyone is eating at crowded restaurants struggling to hear their significant other over the dull roar of couple after couple, I'll be doing my homework and thinking about my nice quaint dinner. |
